Yes - We will require your claim number to process.
We use state of the art technology to perform strength testing - these include handheld strength testers and force plates (Think of fancy scales attached to an app) which allow us to measure your baseline function accurately. We have compiled previous data from numerous tests and studies and can give you normative feedback. Ie where do your results sit compared to others of a similar demographic (age/sex).
We also use digital goniometry which allows us to give you precise range of motion assessment which can often be a key metric we can reassess down the track.
We also perform all regular traditional physiotherapy based assessment to compliment the hard data we have from the tech based assessment.
In some cases, we may also ask you to fill out a self reported questionnaire on your current situation so we can recheck this down the track.
Every Injury is Different - but with a variety of different pathways. We can usually find a solution that works for every 'body'. We also offer free mini consults if you are unsure if physiotherapy is the best fit for your concern. If not we can refer you on to the right person.
Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise designed to build strength and improve flexibility in a low impact environment. It is prescribed by a health professional and is tailored to your injury and or concern. It means you have an individualise program and level of exercise which you can work and progress within a social environment of like minded people on their own journey completing their own program.
No. We need you to complete an initial pilates assessment before you can start the classes. Once you have done this and you have your program you will be able to book in-online.
Our 2:1 rehab classes are a specialty of ours, essentially if you are identified as having a specific problem needing strengthening. We encourage you to do these with us.
There is one other person in the room, your exercises are programmed and are progressive and you don't have to worry about home exercises!
It really depends on your injury/situation. But our most commonly used equipment pieces are...
1. Pilates Reformer
2. Free weights
3. Flywheel trainer
4. Other Pilates Equipment
5. Mat based exercises
Both are 45 Minutes.
We sell rehab and clinical pilates sessions in x 10 pack for a 10% discount. We also allow people to pay as you go if they would prefer.
Generally between 1-3, Unless your situation is quite complicated.
If you are more suited to 1:1 care this is also fine and we can proceed down a more traditional pathway.
